Extreem Confusion

This pen sketch was made by me about 10 years back and it shows the feeling of extreme confusion, paranoia, disorientation, depression and helplessness. Everyone in their life do pass through this feeling sometime or another, what I have done here is shown that extreme feeling in this abstract sketch.

For a better view click on the picture and you would be able to see the fine pen strokes and detailing.

Apache Chief

Drawing Red Indians is one of my favorite subjects. This is a small painting in mixed medium of an Apache chief which I have made from my imagination in one day.

Knowledge and Ignorance

These two paintings are an abstract expression of Knowledge and Ignorance. In Knowledge the many multi-coloured designs around the head represent the knowledge of different subjects and aspects of life which is gained in a person’s lifetime, where as in Ignorance there is an absence of any set pattern. These paintings are mixed medium on paper and have very fine and intricate pen work and colour variation. The designs and placement of complementing colours next to each other required utmost concentration and calm, so these paintings where done mostly at night and continue till dawn. These painting are also part of the series of paintings which help in colour therapy. They create a positive atmosphere, enhance people’s mood and do away with depression and gloom if hung in the room.

Angel Dance

Since black and white is the most powerful colour combination of expression in art. I have done many studies with this magical combination and the results have always fascinated me and much liked by my viewers.

Angel Dance as the name suggests is a small sketch of an angel dancing in all her grandeur and majesty. It has very very intricate and fine pen work. The combination of black and white further enhances its beauty.

White Magic Horses

Horses have always been my favourite subject. I remember when I was in the 4 and 5th grade I was obsessed with drawing horses and must have filled up a couple of drawing copies with just drawings of horses. I was always fascinated by the grace, beauty and magnificence of this great beast and have tried to capture this essence in this painting. The painting is oil on canvas, size is 2.5 feet by 1.5 feet, with a black wooden frame.

Joy & Sorrow

Joy : These two paintings are an abstract expression of Joy and Sorrow. They are mixed medium on paper and have very fine and intricate pen work and colour variation. The designs and placement of complementing colours next to each other required utmost concentration and calm, so I would usually start working on these paintings at mid night and continue till dawn. These painting like the other I did in this series of painting help in colour therapy. They create a positive atmosphere, enhance people’s mood and do away with depression and gloom if hung in the room. Personal favorite of mine.

Sorrow :

Awakening of the consciousness

This is a special effect painting which has a glowing effect in dim light. It is a very powerful painting in the sense it has a very powerful presence, if put up in a room it is not possible for anybody not to notice it. I recall once at an exhibition of my works a gentleman was so engrossed looking at this painting that he must have stood 30 minutes in front of this painting absolutely transfixed. The painting is an abstract impression of the awakening of the consciousness or the subconscious mind, signified by the open eye in the center of the forehead. I got the basic idea of this painting while in deep meditation, of which I made a sketch first and then made this painting.

The painting has very fine brush work, knife work and intricate designs made with needles. This painting is Oil on Canvas. Its size is 105 x 75 cm and has a black wooden frame of 5 cm wide.
